Abstract

This article explores the linguocultural interpretation of landscape units in Uzbek and English from a comparative perspective. The study analyzes the semantic structure, nominative features, and cultural meanings of lexical units denoting landscape elements. Landscape units are considered not only as nominative means for representing geographical objects but also as linguocognitive structures reflecting historical experience, worldview, and value systems of a speech community. The comparative analysis identifies similarities and differences in the formation, semantic development, and symbolic interpretation of the landscape concept in Uzbek and English.
